Before and After Eyelid Surgery
Upper eyelid blepharoplasty
This person complained of tired looking eyes that made her look older than her years. The eye bags caused by excess fat to the upper lids were re-draped to the outer eyelid to give an appearance of youth and the excess skin removed. They were pleased with the result.
Revision blepharoplasty
This case is one where they had an upper eyelid blepharoplasty many years ago but excess skin returned blocking their vision. Using the original scars so that no new scars were created the excess skin was removed and the skin crease was reformed.
Male blepharoplasty
Male blepharoplasty is increasing in popularity to give men a more rejuvenated look to the eyelids whilst looking like surgery has not been done. Here the excess skin that was giving a tired and heavy appearance to the eyelids was removed in a subtle way to give a fresh appearance to the face and eyes.
Eyelid Hidrocystoma removal
A Hidrocystoma is a harmless and non cancerous cyst on the eyelid formed by the sweat glands. It was in the inner aspect of the eyelid and care was taken to not disturb the tear duct to give this result.
Eyelid reconstruction following cancer surgery
This is a case of eyelid basal cell carcinoma that was removed with micrographic surgery to make sure just the right amount of tissue is removed to clear the tumour. Te reconstruction was made with skin from an upper eyelid blepharoplasty. The result is a lower eyelid that looks natural again.
